Country music legend Willie Nelson performs a selection of original songs and cover material in this concert recorded live in Los Angeles in May 2004. Host James Caan introduces Willie as he duets with friends and fellow musicians Bob Dylan, Merle Haggard, Keith Richards, Kid Rock, Al Green, Jerry Lee Lewis, Lucinda Williams, and many others on classic numbers such as "Rainin' in My Heart," "I'll Never Be Free," "Trouble in Mind,". Willie Nelson's career as a legendary country musician, political activist and humanitarian has made him an American icon. In 2002, a variety of musical acts paid tribute to Willie during the Willie Nelson & Friends: Stars & Guitars concert, recorded in the capital of country music, Nashville, Tennessee.

Last year, a star-studded lineup came out to New York City to celebrate Willie's 70th birthday during the Willie Nelson & Friends: Live and Kickin' concert.

Now, for the third consecutive year in May 2004, the stars came out again. Recorded in Surround Sound in Lon Angeles' Wiltern Theater, Eagle Rock Entertainment is proud to present Willie Nelson & Friends: Outlaws and Angels.

Hosted by actor James Caan, the all-star concert includes performances by Kid Rock, Keith Richards, Bob Dylan, Toby Keith, Shelby Lynne, Carole King, Merle Haggard, Lee Ann Womack and many more.
