Over deze cd
On Parole is het eerste album dat de Britse band Motörhead opnam, met sessies uit 1975 en 1976. De plaat werd destijds door de platenmaatschappij op de plank gelegd en pas in 1979 uitgebracht, toen de band al bekend was geworden. De muziek toont de vroege vorm van Motörheads rauwe mix van hardrock en punk, aangevoerd door bassist en zanger Lemmy Kilmister. Nummers als "Motörhead" en "City Kids" verschenen hier in hun oorspronkelijke opnames. Het album geeft een beeld van de band in haar begindagen.
