Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish became a global star with music she recorded at home. From 2015 onwards she made songs with her brother Finneas in his bedroom studio in Los Angeles, starting with "Ocean Eyes". The EP Don't Smile at Me brought her first hits in 2017, and the debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? turned her into a pop star in 2019: whispered vocals, heavy bass and lyrics about night terrors and infatuation, rewarded at the 2020 Grammys with Album of the Year and Best New Artist among others. The restrained Happier Than Ever (2021) and Hit Me Hard and Soft (2024) followed, the latter with "Birds of a Feather" as its biggest hit. For film she wrote "No Time to Die" and "What Was I Made For?", both of which won an Oscar.
