Bright Eyes

Bright Eyes started in 1995 in Omaha as the project of singer-songwriter Conor Oberst and grew into a trio with producer and multi-instrumentalist Mike Mogis and arranger Nate Walcott. On Saddle Creek Records the band set lo-fi folk against raw, unguarded songwriting, and with I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning and Digital Ash in a Digital Urn, released on the same day in 2005, it placed acoustic americana and electronics side by side. Cassadaga entered the Billboard 200 at number four in 2007, the band's highest chart position. After The People's Key (2011) Bright Eyes went quiet for nine years, returning on Dead Oceans with Down in the Weeds, Where the World Once Was (2020) and Five Dice, All Threes (2024). Conor Oberst also releases work under his own name.

This collection brings together Bright Eyes on vinyl, LP and CD: reissues of the early Saddle Creek albums, the Companion EPs with new recordings of their own songs, and the later Dead Oceans releases.
