Who Needs Guitars Anyway? remained the only studio album by Dutch dance project Alice Deejay, fronted by singer Judith Pronk, and originally appeared in 2000. Everything revolves around ‘Better Off Alone’, which grew from late 1998 into a worldwide hit, reaching number two in the United Kingdom and charting on the US Billboard Hot 100. The fourteen tracks work from the same building blocks: a simple synth hook, a tight trance foundation and vocals floating loosely over the top, from ‘Back In My Life’ and ‘Will I Ever’ to ‘Celebrate Our Love’. The album only reached vinyl for the first time with the 25th anniversary edition. This edition is an LP on purple vinyl.
