Elegant Slumming, the second album by M People, captures house music as it took over the British charts in the early nineties: piano chords, tight dance beats and Heather Small's soul voice up front. 'Moving On Up' became the group's biggest hit and reached number two on the UK singles chart, while 'One Night in Heaven' and the cover 'Don't Look Any Further' also made the top 10. The album itself peaked at number 2 and spent 87 weeks in the UK top 75. M People later won the Mercury Music Prize for it.

This edition is a 2-LP on clear vinyl, the National Album Day edition.
