Plays Metallica by Four Cellos is the debut album by Finnish band Apocalyptica, released in 1996. The album contains eight instrumental Metallica covers, arranged and performed on cello. The songs are drawn largely from Master of Puppets and the Black Album, including Enter Sandman and Master of Puppets. At this time the band was made up of four cellists classically trained at the Sibelius Academy. The album marked the starting point of their signature combination of classical cello and metal.
