In October 1994 Dave Grohl booked a week of studio time at Robert Lang Studios in Seattle and, shortly after the end of Nirvana, played almost every part himself. Those recordings became the Foo Fighters debut album, originally released in the summer of 1995. This Is a Call, I'll Stick Around and Big Me came out as singles. Greg Dulli of The Afghan Whigs is the only other musician on the album, with a guitar part on X-Static.
