Late Registration was originally released in 2005 as Kanye West's second studio album. West collaborated with film composer Jon Brion on production, resulting in rich orchestral arrangements alongside the usual sample-driven hip-hop sound. The album included singles such as "Gold Digger" featuring Jamie Foxx, "Heard 'Em Say" and "Touch the Sky". Late Registration addressed themes such as materialism, blood diamonds on "Diamonds from Sierra Leone" and personal growth. The album won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.
