The Montreux Years: Moments Vol 1 was released in 2025 as part of The Montreux Years, the series by BMG and the Montreux Jazz Festival that has drawn on the archive of festival founder Claude Nobs since 2021. The compilation gathered previously unreleased concert recordings from the festival. Nina Simone was featured with a 1990 recording of Mississippi Goddam, and Etta James with a recording from 1993. The collection also included performances by, among others, Muddy Waters, Dr. John, Marianne Faithfull, Chick Corea, McCoy Tyner, Michel Petrucciani, the Modern Jazz Quartet and John McLaughlin.
