This Oasis is not the Britpop band from Manchester but an American group from Marin County, California. The self-titled album originally appeared in 1973 on the Cranbus label and was produced by Stephen Barncard, who had worked with the Grateful Dead among others. The music sits between psychedelic folk and West Coast rock, with male and female voices carrying the melodies together. The original pressing was a private release in a very small run and stayed hard to find for decades, until the album was reissued. This edition is an LP.
