Summertime Blues, Heart Full of Soul, For What It's Worth, The Seeker, Mr. Soul, Seven and Seven Is, Shapes of Things and Crossroads: on Feedback, Rush plays eight covers of 1960s songs that had shaped the band members as teenagers. According to Geddy Lee, the idea came from a friend who suggested doing something quick and low-pressure with old favourites, since there was no time for a full studio album before the anniversary tour. Recording took place in spring 2004 at Phase One in Toronto, with David Leonard as co-producer. The EP originally came out in June 2004 on Anthem and marked thirty years of Rush; the accompanying tour was called R30.
