Danzig 4 is the last album Danzig recorded with the original line-up: John Christ on guitar, Eerie Von on bass and Chuck Biscuits on drums. The fourth studio album was originally released in 1994 on American Recordings, produced by Glenn Danzig and Rick Rubin and recorded at Ocean Way in Los Angeles and Sound City in Van Nuys. After the success of Mother and the live EP Thrall-Demonsweatlive, the band went for a quieter, brooding atmosphere here, with slower tempos and plenty of space in the arrangements. The singles Cantspeak and I Don't Mind the Pain come from this album, as do Brand New God and Bringer of Death. The cover carries no title: Glenn Danzig felt lettering would spoil the artwork, which is why the album is also known as Danzig 4P.

This edition is an LP.
