Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence is Dream Theater's sixth studio album, originally released in 2002 as a double album. The first disc gathers five self-contained songs, including 'The Glass Prison', with which Mike Portnoy began his autobiographical suite about addiction and recovery. The second disc consists entirely of the forty-minute, eight-part title piece, in which each section gives voice to a different psychological condition. With LaBrie, Petrucci, Myung, Rudess and Portnoy, it ranks among the most extended works in their catalogue.
