A Matter of Life and Death, Iron Maiden's fourteenth studio album, first appeared in 2006. Its lyrics revolve around war, faith and mortality, themes that give the album a sombre coherence. Well-known tracks include 'Different World', 'The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg' and the nearly ten-minute 'For the Greater Good of God'. The long, elaborate compositions were initially performed in full on the accompanying tour.
