Story: A Recollection is a compilation album by the Finnish band Sentenced that originally appeared in November 1997 on Century Media. Sentenced formed in the second half of the 1980s in Oulu and evolved from death metal into melancholic gothic metal. The compilation gathers material from the albums North from Here (1993), Amok (1995) and Down (1996), supplemented with EP tracks and cover versions of Iron Maiden and Billy Idol. Both the period with singer Taneli Jarva and the later lineup with Ville Laihiala are represented.
