Hunky Dory is the fourth studio album by David Bowie, originally released in 1971 through RCA. It marks the breakthrough of his songwriting: opening with the manifesto-like 'Changes', it reaches through 'Life on Mars?' and 'Oh! You Pretty Things' toward the theatrical pop that would make him world-famous shortly afterwards. Producer Ken Scott and guitarist Mick Ronson gave the album its bright, piano-driven sound, with contributions from keyboardist Rick Wakeman. The lyrics move between glam camp, science fiction and homage, with songs for Bob Dylan and Andy Warhol. Rolling Stone placed the album at number 88 on its list of 'The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time'. This edition is an LP on black vinyl.
