Ronnie Drew of The Dubliners and Spider Stacy of The Pogues guest on The Meanest of Times, the sixth studio album by Boston Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys. The songs deal with family, loyalty and remembering where you come from, mixing punk rock with Irish folk and American rock 'n' roll. The album was originally released in 2007 via Born & Bred Records, the band's own label, and was their first not to come out through Hellcat Records. It entered the Billboard 200 at number 20 and produced the single The State of Massachusetts. It was also the last album with guitarist Marc Orrell.
