Second Helping is the second studio album by Lynyrd Skynyrd, released on 15 April 1974 via MCA Records. The record contains Sweet Home Alabama, the band's best-known hit, which reached number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album climbed to number 12 on the US albums chart and was certified double platinum by the RIAA. It was produced by Al Kooper and is regarded as one of the core albums of southern rock.
