Songs in A Minor is the debut album by American singer-songwriter Alicia Keys, released on 26 June 2001 through J Records. Keys wrote, arranged and produced most of this neo-soul record herself, drawing on classical, R&B, soul and jazz. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and yielded the hit Fallin'. At the 2002 Grammy Awards, Keys won five awards, including Best New Artist.
