Burn the Sun is the second and final studio album by the Norwegian progressive metal band Ark, originally released in 2001. The band consisted of a group of renowned musicians around singer Jorn Lande, guitarist Tore Ostby and drummer John Macaluso. The record combines technical, virtuosic progressive metal with strong melodies and Lande's powerful, soulful vocals. The songs alternate complex rhythms and instrumental ingenuity with accessible choruses. Several band members were also active in bands such as Masterplan and the group around guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen.
