Thrasher is Brandon Flowers' first solo album in more than a decade, following The Desired Effect from 2015. The Killers singer recorded it at Historic RCA Studio A in Nashville with producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado, and with musicians from the city itself: guitarist David Rawlings, pedal steel player Bruce Bouton and harmonica player Charlie McCoy, who was heard on Bob Dylan's Nashville sessions. The country and western music Flowers came to know through his father is the starting point, and the lyrics go back to his childhood in Nephi, Utah. The album was released on August 21, 2026 on Island Records, with Plans as its first single, and is billed as the first of two solo albums Flowers is putting out back to back.
