Charles Mingus – The Lost Album From Ronnie Scott's 3LP RSD

On 14 and 15 August 1972 Charles Mingus played two nights at Ronnie Scott's in London, with Charles McPherson on alto sax, Bobby Jones on tenor sax, a young Jon Faddis on trumpet, John Foster on piano and Roy Brooks on drums. The concerts were professionally captured on eight-track tape for an album that never materialised at the time. Resonance Records finally issued the material in 2022, remastered by Bernie Grundman. The set runs to almost two and a half hours and includes extended versions of Fables of Faubus and Orange Was the Color of Her Dress, Then Silk Blue, both spread across two sides.

This edition is a 3LP, released for Record Store Day.
