De Dijk's debut originally came out in 1982 on Dureco and set the tone for everything that followed: Amsterdam lyrics by Huub van der Lubbe over a base of soul, rhythm and blues, and rock. Frank Klunhaar produced the sessions, most of them recorded in October 1982. Bloedend hart missed the Dutch Top 40 as a single at the time but grew into one of the band's best-known songs; De stilte voor de storm, Stad bij nacht, and Knock out are also on the album. The sound is still bare and direct, and two different drummers play across the record. This edition is an LP.
