Angry Machines, originally released in 1996, is the odd one out in the Dio catalogue. Guitarist Tracy G pushed the sound towards a dissonant, almost industrial hardness, and the lyrics dealt not with dragons but with technology, control and alienation. Vinny Appice was back behind the drums and Jeff Pilson played bass. Institutional Man and Don't Tell the Kids show how far the band had moved from the eighties. This edition is an LP.
