Lost Not Forgotten Archives: When Dream and Day Unite Demos (1987-1989) gathers instrumental and pre-production demos of the songs that would end up on the debut album When Dream and Day Unite (1989). The material originally appeared in 2004 on Ytsejam Records and reveals the earliest form of pieces such as 'Afterlife', 'The Killing Hand' and 'Ytse Jam'. As a bonus, the release includes six songs the band recorded at the time as a Christmas gift for friends, among them idiosyncratic takes on 'O Holy Night' and 'Mission Impossible'. It documents the early years, with the original line-up of singer Charlie Dominici, guitarist John Petrucci, bassist John Myung, drummer Mike Portnoy and keyboardist Kevin Moore.

This edition is a limited box set with three LPs on red vinyl and two CDs, in a gatefold sleeve.
