'Jailhouse Rock' is one of Elvis Presley's best-known rock 'n' roll numbers, written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller for the 1957 MGM film of the same name, in which Presley starred. The title song, with its hammering rhythm and the film's celebrated dance sequence, became inseparable from him. This picture disc collects material from that rock 'n' roll period.
