Sunset Boulevard collects Elvis Presley's studio recordings from the early 1970s, supplemented with alternate takes. The first part holds well-known songs from that period, such as 'Always On My Mind', 'Burning Love', 'Separate Ways' and 'T-R-O-U-B-L-E'. The second part consists of studio versions with take numbers of those and related songs, including 'Green, Green Grass of Home' and 'And I Love You So'. In this way the compilation sets the familiar recordings beside the work-in-progress around them.
