Fallen is the debut album by Evanescence, released in 2003. It marked the American band's worldwide breakthrough, built around singer Amy Lee: the single Bring Me to Life, featuring guest vocals by Paul McCoy, became an international hit, followed by Going Under, My Immortal, and Everybody's Fool. The music combines alternative rock and nu metal with gothic influences and classical-leaning piano and string arrangements around Lee's voice. Fallen earned the band two Grammy Awards in 2004, including Best New Artist, and became one of the best-selling rock albums of the 2000s.
