The BBC Session Recordings collects the surviving studio sessions that British rock band Faces recorded for the BBC in 1970 and 1971, including for John Peel's programme Top Gear. The band, featuring singer Rod Stewart, guitarist Ronnie Wood, bassist Ronnie Lane, keyboardist Ian McLagan and drummer Kenney Jones, had just emerged from the Small Faces in this period. The sessions include 'Had Me a Real Good Time', 'Bad 'n' Ruin' and '(I Know) I'm Losing You', alongside covers such as 'It's All Over Now' and 'Cut Across Shorty'. The recordings capture the loose, raw rock 'n' roll that made the group's name in the early seventies. The collection was released in 2024.
