Foo Fighters recorded Wasting Light in Dave Grohl's garage in Encino, entirely on analogue tape and without computers. Butch Vig, who had produced Nevermind, was at the desk, Pat Smear was back full time, and Krist Novoselic and Bob Mould dropped in as guests. Originally released in 2011, the album opens with Bridge Burning and carries Rope, Walk and White Limo. It became the band's first number one album in the United States and won a Grammy for Best Rock Album.
