Apostrophe (') opens with the Nanook suite, in which 'Don't Eat The Yellow Snow', 'Nanook Rubs It', 'St. Alfonzo's Pancake Breakfast' and 'Father O'Blivion' are written into a single story about an Eskimo boy and a fur trapper. 'Cosmik Debris', 'Uncle Remus', co-written with George Duke, and 'Stink-Foot' follow. The title track is a studio jam with Jack Bruce on bass and Jim Gordon on drums. The album originally came out in March 1974 on DiscReet Records and, reaching number ten on the Billboard 200, became Frank Zappa's highest-charting album in the United States. This edition is an LP on gold vinyl, pressed for the fiftieth anniversary.
