Older is the third solo album by British singer George Michael, originally released on 13 May 1996. The album produced six singles: "Jesus to a Child" and "Fastlove" reached number one on the UK singles chart, while the remaining four singles reached the top three. Musically, Older shows a more introspective style, influenced by jazz and soul, than Michael's earlier work, with lyrics that partly stemmed from a period of personal loss. The album was certified six times platinum in the United Kingdom and achieved comparable platinum status in more than twenty other countries.
