Opus Eponymous is the debut album by the Swedish band Ghost, originally released in 2010. On this album the band introduced its theatrical concept: the masked singer Papa Emeritus, backed by the anonymous Nameless Ghouls. The music pairs heavy metal and doom with strikingly melodic, seventies-style pop structures and organ sounds, delivering its satanic themes with a wink, on songs like Ritual, Con Clavi Con Dio, and Elizabeth. The album was nominated for a Grammis in Sweden and laid the foundation for the band's international breakthrough. This edition is an LP on rosewood vinyl.
