Europe '72 documents The Grateful Dead's tour of Western Europe in April and May 1972, with recordings from venues including Wembley's Empire Pool, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Olympia in Paris. Originally released in November 1972 via Warner Bros as a triple live album, it introduced new songs such as Jack Straw and Brown-Eyed Women. It was also the first album to feature pianist Keith Godchaux and singer Donna Jean Godchaux, and the last with founding member Ron 'Pigpen' McKernan, who died shortly after its release.
