This single brings two Dutch artists together: André Hazes and Herman Brood. Hazes sings Waarom, the Dutch version of My Way, while Brood delivers his own English-language rendition of My Way. My Way goes back to the French chanson Comme d'habitude and became known worldwide through Frank Sinatra's performance. Brood's version spent three weeks at number one on the Dutch Top 40 after his death in 2001. In this way the single pairs two distinctive voices from Dutch music history on the same song.
