Iron Maiden was the self-titled debut album by the British band Iron Maiden, originally released in 1980 on EMI. The album was produced by Will Malone and was the first of two studio albums with singer Paul Di'Anno, alongside "Killers". Songs such as "Running Free" and "Phantom of the Opera" became staples of the band's later live repertoire. The album reached number four on the UK Albums Chart. The lineup also included Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Dennis Stratton and Clive Burr. The debut appeared during the rise of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal.
