On Alien Metal, the twenty-eighth studio album by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, modular synthesizers take centre stage. The band modified the Eurorack modules themselves to build the sound they wanted, and across eight tracks moves into techno, breakbeat hardcore, house and jungle. The groundwork came from a one-hour improvised session in the key of F sharp. As on Nonagon Infinity, every track flows into the next and the last one leads back into the first, so the album can run on an endless loop. Level 5, the title track and Kill for the Steel preceded the album as singles. The album came out in August 2026 on p(doom) Records, with no release date announced in advance.
This edition is an LP on translucent black vinyl.
