Countdown Live 1980 is a live recording by the American power pop band The Knack, recorded in 1980 for the Dutch television programme Countdown and officially released in 2023. The Los Angeles band broke through in 1979 with the debut album Get The Knack and the worldwide hit 'My Sharona', at the time the best-selling single of the year in the United States. Alongside 'My Sharona', the compact set also includes the hit single 'Good Girls Don't' and songs from the second album ...But The Little Girls Understand, such as 'Baby Talks Dirty'. Singer-guitarist Doug Fieger led the band. The tight power pop of The Knack, indebted to sixties beat, was considered leading within new wave in the late 1970s.
