Louis Armstrong was een van de meest invloedrijke figuren in de jazzscene. Als trompettist, zanger en componist nam hij enkele van de beroemdste Jazz Songs op die de wereld ooit zou horen. Deze Collected release combineert de nummers uit zijn begintijd met zijn grote hits en samenwerkingen met andere artiesten.

Met zijn herkenbare stem en bekwame scatzang bracht hij klassiekers als "West End Blues" en "Ain't Misbehavin'" uit.
