The Rise & Fall is built as a set of portraits of the England the band grew up in, with memory, neighbourhood and decline running through it. It carries the best known Madness song of all, Our House, which also became a large hit in the United States and won an Ivor Novello Award. Alongside it are Tomorrow's (Just Another Day), Blue Skinned Beast and Primrose Hill. Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley produced once again. The fourth studio album originally appeared in November 1982 on Stiff Records.
