Wonderful was the first Madness studio album after the Madstock reunion, with the classic line-up, Mike Barson included, back together. The tone is gentler than in the eighties. Lovestruck describes a drunken night on the street, Johnny the Horse tells of a street performer kicked to death, and Ian Dury sings on Drip Fed Fred in one of his last recordings. The album originally came out in 1999 on Virgin Records and reached number seventeen in Britain.
