Froot, released in 2015, was the third studio album by Marina Diamandis under the name Marina and the Diamonds. Unlike the conceptual Electra Heart, she wrote this record entirely herself, with a warmer and more organic pop sound. It was rolled out gradually, with a new track shared each month in the run-up, including "Froot", "Happy", "Blue" and "Forget". Thematically the album deals with self-acceptance, desire and growing up. The production leans on live instrumentation and subtle disco influences, giving Marina a more personal sound than on her earlier work.
