Michel Legrand wrote the music for the Australian feature film Dingo; Miles Davis played the trumpet parts and appeared in the film himself. The recordings were made in March 1990 at Crystal Studios in Los Angeles, with an ensemble that moves between full orchestral arrangements and small, restrained passages. It is the last album Davis completed himself. The score received the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Original Music Score. The original album came out in November 1991 on Warner Bros., shortly after Davis died in September that year. This edition is a CD.
