Snake Bite Love is Motörhead’s fourteenth studio album, first released in March 1998. In places the album shows a slightly less breakneck side of the band: several songs sit slower than you might expect from Motörhead, while the familiar mix of heavy metal and rock ’n’ roll stays intact. The trio of Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee run through ‘Love for Sale’, ‘Dogs of War’ and the title track. It sits among the records the band kept delivering at pace across the second half of the nineties.
