Paul Carrack staat bekend om zijn rol in de band Ace, Squeeze (ter vervanging van Jools Holland op piano) en Mike & The Mechanics (een zijproject van Mike Rutherford van Genesis). Naast deze samenwerkingen heeft Carrack een succesvolle solocarrière opgebouwd. Alle nummers uit zijn indrukwekkende carrière zijn nu gebundeld in deze Collected-reeks. Door de BBC omschreven als de "The Man with the Golden Voice" zong Carrack enkele van de belangrijkste nummers van bands als Ace ("How Long"), Squeeze ("Tempted"), Mike + The Mechanics ("The Living Years" en "Over My Shoulder").
