Live Undead was Slayer's first live release, originally issued in November 1984 through Metal Blade. The recording did not come from an ordinary concert: the band played the set at Tiki Recording Studios in Glen Cove, New York, in front of a handful of invited guests, and the authenticity of the audience sound has been debated ever since. The material comes from Show No Mercy and Haunting the Chapel, with Black Magic, Die by the Sword, The Antichrist, and Evil Has No Boundaries. The release shows how tight and how fast the line-up of Araya, Hanneman, King, and Lombardo played in those early years.

This edition is an LP, expanded with four studio recordings.
