The Best Years of Our Lives is the third studio album by Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, originally released on 7 March 1975 via EMI. The album contains the band's only UK number one, Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me), which sold in the millions. It was produced by Harley and Alan Parsons and recorded at Abbey Road and Air Studios in London. The album is regarded as a highlight of the band's work and shows their blend of glam rock and refined arrangements.
