Live at the Matrix gathers the recordings The Doors made in March 1967 at the small club The Matrix in San Francisco, shortly after their debut album appeared. The setlists mix early originals such as 'Break On Through', 'Light My Fire' and 'The End' with blues covers and instrumental improvisations, catching the band in an intimate club setting on the brink of their breakthrough. The line-up is Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore.
