The Black and White Album is the fourth studio album by Swedish garage rock band The Hives, released in 2007. For this record the band worked with various producers, including Pharrell Williams, Dennis Herring and Jacknife Lee, and broadened its sound with funk, dance and electronic influences. 'Tick Tick Boom' was released as the first single and was widely used in films, games and commercials; 'Try It Again' was also released as a single. The Hives, from Fagersta in Sweden, broke through internationally in the early 2000s with the album Veni Vidi Vicious and the single 'Hate to Say I Told You So'.
